Here in Venice Beach the weather has been in constant flux. We’ve had 85F in January and 50F here in February, while the marine layer has been showing her face.
I put together a few things from my closet which I haven’t tried before. I knew it was chilly outside, so the cowl / funnel neck sweater from was my first pick. I absolutely love the style, versatility, and lightweight yet warmth of the fabric.

Building on that, I wanted a pant that was simple to allow the sweater to be the highlight. I chose my purple straight leg pants from H and M. I love how the textures builds off the purple pant up to the Fedora.
It wasn’t a particularly good hair day, so the fedora hat from pistil designs is a perfect go to on any such occasion. The band almost comes off as purple and the green hue and texture of the Fedora goes greatly with the texture of the sweater.
This could have gone with boots, but I choose sneakers for a more laid back sporty vibe. These are the RYMAN shoes from Steve Madden. I’m totally feeling the blue and grey vibe this spring. The leather texture can go casual or dress up with a pair of slacks, but thats another story!
